About University that stole credit from DRK, the Indian Carver
Today the claim on HMT Rice variety is in the custody of Panjabrao Krishi Vidyapith(PKV) , an autonomous central Indian Agricultural university named after first Agricultural Minister of India Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh. It is situated in central part of India, Akola, about 200Kms West off Nagpur.
The biggest irony, yet an usual feature, for the staff of the university is no wanting for connections with the outside world through use of technologies. This attitude of the staff is reflected from the dysfunctional website that PKV has even after quantum funding from the State. Does it really put university people and processes into smart fit for todays competative world where connectivity is prime?
Shamelessly, the same research staff however smart enough today to put undoubted claims on sole propritoriship of the HMT Rice patent which in any case was first developed by DRK, an Indian Carver in his 30 years old research intiative with no support from State or anybody in his own laboratory of just marginal 3 acres, many times living on hunger.
Readers may visit the university url and test for themselves: http://pdkv.mah.nic.in
However we have recovered the physical address of the University and e-mail id of the Vice Chancellor from where one may get access to the research team on HMT( provided the staff follows the e-mails). We will try to get the contacts of person/team claims to be behind HMT research.
